William Iny, President, C.E.O. and Director
William Iny has acted as a director of Sky Harvest since May 23, 2006 and as its President and CEO since September 1, 2010. He is also a co-founder and President of Sky Harvest Windpower (Saskatchewan) Corp., Sky Harvest’s operating subsidiary that located and developed the company’s flagship Sky Harvest project in Birsay prior to its acquisition by the Sky Harvest parent company in July 2009. Mr. Iny has been primarily responsible for raising financing for Sky Harvest’s projects and operations through brokered financing, as well as private placements from high net worth individuals.
In addition to his wind power experience with Sky Harvest, Mr. Iny has 30 years of experience in real estate development, franchising, and in providing consulting and financing services to private and public companies.
In a business environment that imposes ever increasing regulatory requirements, Mr. Iny’s experience in reporting company compliance and disclosure in both the United States and Canada is a key asset to Sky Harvest, a reporting company in multiple jurisdictions. In addition to having acted as a director and officer of public companies in both Canada and the United States, he has also co-founded and acted as a director of Empire Stock Transfer Inc., a Las Vegas, Nevada based registrar and transfer agent registered with the United States Securities & Exchange Commission.
Mr. Iny is currently assembling a management and advisory team to aid the development and expansion of Sky Harvest’s asset base.
Patricia J. Shorr, Director
Ms. Shorr brings over 25 years of personal experience in the wind energy business to Sky Harvest. Since 1999, Ms. Shorr has acted as the principal of Spectrum Capital Corporation, a company that consults to wind and solar energy developers and is involved in the commercial mortgage brokerage sector. In this role, she has been involved in all aspects of permitting wind energy farms and solar projects including coordinating all legal documentation for land leases and permitting, securing state sponsored financing and economic incentives, liaising and negotiating with transmission conglomerates and regional utilities, participating in turbine acquisition and balance of plant procurement, and securing transmission and utility participation. Through Spectrum Capital, Ms. Shorr has been involved in renewable energy projects, both completed and in development, with an estimated aggregate cost of approximately $950 million. Ms. Shorr’s previous employment positions include acting as the Assistant Vice-President of First Investment Company and First City Bank in Columbus, Ohio; acting as a Financial Analyst for W.R. Grace & Co. in New York; and acting as Staff Auditor for Touche Ross & Co. in Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Honors, specializing in marketing and accounting, and a Master of Arts degree with Honors from The George Washington University.
Harry Bauskin, Director
Mr. Bauskin has extensive experience in the banking and investment industries. He previously held various positions with Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s largest bank, over a 30 year period. These positions included acting as head of the bank’s Toronto and Canadian divisions and head of the Investment Advice Division in Jerusalem. He was key in establishing a portfolio management company and foreign investments division for Bank Hapoalim. Mr. Bauskin has also acted as Deputy Managing Director for Israel Halutz Ltd., one of Israel’s major portfolio management companies, and as Senior Portfolio Manager/Analyst for Afikim Investments Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Durban University in South Africa where he specialized in economics and accountancy. Mr. Bauskin’s experience in evaluating potential corporate acquisitions and financing structures is a key asset to the Company.
Greg Yanke, Director
Mr. Yanke was a co-founder of Sky Harvest’s Saskatchewan subsidiary that developed the Company’s principal asset.
Since 2000, Mr. Yanke has been a self-employed corporate and securities lawyer and the principal of Gregory S. Yanke Law Corporation. Mr. Yanke is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, receiving Bachelor degrees in Political Science (1991) and Law (1994), as well as Arizona State University, where he obtained an MBA, specializing in financial management and markets (2009). He is a member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Mr. Yanke has previously acted as a director and officer of various Canadian and United States reporting companies. We will rely on his experience in securities regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, and business development as we seek to expand our operations.
Bertan Atalay, Consultant
Mr. Atalay is an experienced gas-and-power professional with extensive public and private executive management and board membership experience. He has held leadership positions in corporate governance and public corporation reporting. In his more than twenty year career, Mr. Atalay led and helped lead commercial developments in the European and North American gas and power markets. He has successfully led the negotiations for, and worked on the generation and structuring of, gas and power deals and projects including power plants, renewable energy projects and technology, pipelines, and complex transactions in power and fuel supply and oil exploration. He held positions in companies including, Shell, Enron, El Paso in Europe and Northland Power and Finavera Renewables in Canada.
Mr. Atalay serves as the executive board member and Chief Executive of Europe’s first independent gas storage company, Continental Gas Storage BV, in the Netherlands. He joined the company as a co-founder and was instrumental in the success of the company, and led the sale of the company to a US private equity firm. In addition, he co-founded energy companies in Turkey operating in Oil and Gas, and small hydro fields.
Mr. Atalay qualified as a Civil Engineer in 1988 and was formerly a P.Eng. in Canada. In 1999, Mr. Atalay obtained a MBA from University of British Columbia and he is an Exchange Scholar of London Business School.
Kyle Loney, Project Acquisition Consultant
Mr. Loney aids us in the review and analysis of potential project acquisitions. He holds an Economics degree from Union College in New York and is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute. Mr. Loney was a founding partner and currently acts as Vice-President of Business Operations for the Ecogen Group of Companies, which aids clients with solar power project development. Ecogen’s projects to date have involved over $300 million in capital costs. Mr. Loney has also previously acted as project manager for Polestar CM Inc., where he managed several Vale Inco (now known as Vale Canada Ltd.), and Autumnwood Group, where he managed projects ranging from $5 million to $25 million.
Boyd Bergstrom, Community Relations Manager
Boyd Bergstrom acts as Sky Harvest Windpower Corp.’s Community Relations Manager and Land Acquisition Agent respecting its wind power projects in Saskatchewan, Canada. He is vital in acting as a liaison between our management, project landowners, government representatives, and community organizations in Saskatchewan. Mr. Bergstrom holds a Bachelors of Science degree in agriculture and holds the Professional Agrologist and Certified Crop Advisor designations. His knowledge of how wind power projects impact agricultural land development and crop production is a key asset to us. He has previous experience acquiring surface leases and easements, creating protocols for crop losses due to development, ensuring environmental compliance for energy industry clients.
Farrah Iny, Executive Assistant, Marketing and Financial Consultant
Farrah Iny has acted as an executive assistant, financial and marketing consultant to Sky Harvest Windpower Corp. since 2007. In addition to aiding the company with the creation of its corporate communication materials, she has also been instrumental in arranging funding for the company through the introduction of high net worth individuals and brokerage firm financiers.
Terry Johnston, Manager of Corporate Communications
Terry Johnston has worked with Sky Harvest Windpower since April 2008 in the role of corporate communications and media relations. Terry has over 20 years experience in business development, capital acquisition, media relations and has worked with several hi-technology and green technology companies.
Prior to joining Sky Harvest, Terry’s roles included Vice-President Investment Banking – Hartford Capital Corporation, Vice-President Sales & Marketing – INTAC Global Investments, Ltd., Director & Vice-President Marketing – Caelo Software Inc., Vice-President Sales & Marketing – EquityAlert.com Inc.
