Sky Harvest Windpower Corp.
Keewatin Windpower Corp.

Keewatin WindPower Corp., trades on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol (KWPW), is rapidly emerging as a developer and producer of renewable energy.

Keewatin is in the process of acquiring Sky Harvest Windpower Corp. a company with a 150 megawatt wind power project at an advanced stage of engineering. The project is located in south-western Saskatchewan, Canada.  This sparsely populated location offers several key advantages for Sky Harvest including access to the existing power transmission infrastructure.

Company highlights:

  • Sky Harvest has secured an ideal 8,500 acre wind farm site.
  • A recent independent engineering study concluded that the 8,500 acre site has a Capacity Factor (the key industry measure of a wind resource) which is more than financially viable for a 150 megawatt wind farm.
  • Keewatin and Sky Harvest have cooperated in the early development of a second Saskatchewan project in this high capacity factor region.
  • The Company’s internal estimates indicate a capacity of 300MW is achievable from these combined sites.
  • Numerous environmental and wind resource studies have been completed and others are ongoing in preparation for presentations and proposals to utilities for a Power Purchase Agreement (P.P.A.).
  • Power utility lines run right through the proposed wind farms to allow for cost effective connection to the power grid.
  • Keewatin is currently positioned well in a market that is strongly accepting renewable energy and specifically wind power.
